About The Department

Civil Engineering is the mother of all Engineering courses and is considered to be the backbone of a nation’s development. The Department of Civil Engineering of ARYABHATTA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & RESEARCH CENTRE, AJMER was established in the year 2010 with an intake of 120. The Civil Department has excellent infrastructure, state-of-the-art laboratories including project laboratory and with natural lighting and ventilation and is well-maintained by technically qualified personal.

Our faculty and staff are devoted to educating our students such that they are best equipped to serve the nation as professionals, scholars, academic leaders, and entrepreneurs. The department offers a concept-oriented teaching-learning process coupled with practical knowledge through industry-institute interaction. Industry personnel is hired as adjunct faculties to share their practical experience and knowledge. To enhance the technical and employability skills of our students, the Department encourages the students to undertake an internship, in-plant training. Apart from the regular curriculum, the department conducts Workshops/Guest Lectures/Industrial Visits for the students to augment their proficiency.

The department has a well established mentoring system that provides individual attention to the students in academic and other activities. The Department also encourages its students to engage in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities to nurture their team spirit and develop organizational skills. The faculty members of the department are promoted to attend/conduct training programs/FDPs to keep them updated.

SALIENT FEATURES

Department is also having In-house summer internship program. In this program software training and on-site training is provided to students to make them ready for the industry.

Department is also having THE QUIZ CLUB and NIRMAAN CLUB for overall development of students.

Department organizes Conference, Industrial Visits, Survey Camps and Expert Lectures from renowned personalities of academia and industry at regular intervals.

Department is having well equipped smart classrooms with Internet connectivity. There is 24hrs electricity backup for uninterrupted studies of students.

In addition to Central Library, Department is having its own library where faculty have access to reference books from well known publishers, Magazines, lab manuals etc.

Department is working “ACERC Test House & Research Centre” which provides commercial testing facility of building and road materials.

Computer Lab of the Department is having latest version of Civil Engineering Softwares like AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds MAX, STAAD Pro, Revit, Civil 3D etc.

Civil Engineering Students are facilitated by enrolling them for NPTEL online courses and Spoken Tutorial run by IIT's.
